Rebel Ink: 2013 - Zombie Boy
In Rebel Ink's long, illustrious history, we've met some of the most interesting citizens of the world. People from all walks of life: rich, poor, regular Joe's, and descendants of royalty (well, maybe rock royalty) and they all share a common bond ink. Each have had an interesting journey and ink-filled tales. Check out Rebel Ink's long-awaited feature on Rico Genest a/k/a Zombie Boy. Rebel Ink decided to recreate the "Dali Skull." It just seemed like an obvious concept that had yet to be executed with Rico. So, with the help of photographer Steve Prue garnering the perfect array of models and the technical expertise of shooter Joey L. executing the photography, Rebel Ink present to you the Dali Skull, showcasing Zombie Boy. RI had the pleasure to meet with Teddy Boy Greg, a Los Angeles-based barber, specializing in the Edwardian style. They also linked up with Leland Chapman of Dog, The Bounty Hunter. Leland spoke to RI about his early days, getting tatted by his friends with sewing needles and Indian ink to meeting tattoo master, Mike Ledger, who transformed his collection into an array of masterpieces. Back to the mainland to check out RI's chat with the hooligans of "Strong Island's Tiki Kings" Cigar and Car Club, coverage of Ink-N-Iron 2012, and the first-ever United Ink Expo that went down in Long Island, NY's, famed Nassau Coliseum, and which featured some of the sickest ink slingers from across the globe.
