Story

The Rose of No Man's Land was the nickname given by soldiers to the Red Cross nurses who saved thousands of lives at the front lines of the First World War. Like the song of the same name, Tom Berg's  piece was meant to honor those brave WWI nurses. Tom trained himself at The Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Around the turn of the century he moved to San Francisco working in one of the city’s roughest areas, the “Barbary Coast”.
